Songbird is turning out nicely, though still a little bloaty and crash prone... but its still technically beta...

Use it mainly for iPod syncing and tag management. Otherwise, Amarok.

I used XMMS for a long time. Recently, however, I have switched to audacious.

iPhones good for the everyman. If you've got a more complicated lifestyle (ur on chans, chances are you don't) then get a Blackberry, but if you're joe schmuck like the rest of us, the iPhone is more than enough.

/g/I'm looking to buy a new mobile phone.

I'm willing to spend up to $1000.

To bee honest, I'd like one of those crazy super high tech jap phones that has a whole bunch of features, and twists and flips and shit.

One that will turn heads and make people go wtf man where did you get that awesome phone.

Any suggestions?

Op here. I was thinking about an iPhone or Nokia n95, but they've been out a while and I feel as though I'm going to buy it and have something better come out in a month or two.

Is there anything super coming out within the next few months?

1. The N95 costs +$1000 I do believe.

My local computer store only has widescreen LCDs.

I am so angry I could punch a wall.

Widescreens suck; "oooh look I can watch teh movayz w/o dose black barz"
Give me 5:4 or 4:3 any day. The popularity of widescreens is bullshit.

That is all.

Thinking about buying an Acer 6920, good or bad decision?

GeForce 9600GSO capable of running a game on par with Crysis?

Situation:
My university is the mafiaa's bitch - bittorrent/P2P and IRC are all blocked. It might be possible to get around this, but traffic is monitored for download patterns that give away bittorrent traffic, and all hardware connected to the network must be registered.

Question:
What is the best way to get my sweet, sweet bittorrent back? I just dealt with it before, but I'm getting sick of not having access to new music.

Proposals:
-Satellite internet connection. Hardware is prohibitively expensive, though. Can other (used, etc) hardware be used?
-Parabolic wifi antenna used to leech off unsecured wireless networks of other students? I'd feel like an asshole doing this, though, and I don't know if it's even possible to build an effective parabolic antenna.

Your thoughts?

Afternoon, /g/.

I'd like to try creating a video mashup/mixtape with fairly good quality. What video editing software is the best to use, and are there any other tools I should have?
>> No. 1088
You don't mention which OS you're using.

If, as I suspect, you're a dozefag, check out Sony Vegas, it's rather easy to use, and produces some rather reasonable results.

I need some help, /g/.

My Deathstar finally learned scratching. The important stuff is safe on a new drive, but there are some things in the damaged area which I'd like to recover.
Some of the files are readable but finding them using explorer is not an option as it takes forever before it understands that the file is damaged, and it also stops all transfers as soon as it finds one, so you'd pretty much have the move them one by one.

What I need is a utillity which will copy the readable files and ignore the rest, but searching the web I have not found a sutible program. Can /g/ help? Is XP.

If your disk surface is damaged it's almost certain that the heads are contaminated. This means that each time you seek there's going to be more damage.
tl:dr treat each read as the last.

GeoEye-1 isn't owned by Google, and they would be very unlikely to sell it's images to Google, since they know Google having it would make selling anywhere else impossible.
